A Kingdom Like No Other

Light in Darkness

Pastor Aldo Leon - Isaiah 9:6-7
Light in Darkness
Delivered on: 25 December 2016

We often think that Christianity is about recruiting Jesus to fix our small kingdoms or to reinvent His Kingdom to be more like ours. What Isaiah shows us is that God's Kingdom is not about us or what we imagine but rather it is about Christ and what He has accomplished. Isaiah shows us that God's kingdom is like no other because it is simply about a Someone like no other. (Is 9:6-7)

A Promise Like No Other

Light in Darkness

Pastor Aldo Leon - Isaiah 9:1-5
Light in Darkness
Delivered on: 18 December 2016

We often have the tendency to take the characteristics of earthly promises and transfer them to compromise the characteristics of the promises of scripture. We tend to take the conditional us determined promises of the word of God and mix and match them with God's promises. However, what Isaiah shows us is that the promises of scripture have a radical distinctiveness that is like no other. They come in unlikely places in an unlikely manner in unlikely ways with unlikely results. Come and see how totally other are God's redemptive promises. (Is 9:1-5)

An Ordinary, yet Extraordinary King

Light in Darkness

Preacher Paul Hernandez
Isaiah 11:1-9
Light in Darkness
Delivered on: 11 December 2016

Living in a broken and dark world, it is hard to imagine a perfect world. In Isaiah, the prophet describes for us a perfect world that is not found in our geography, circumstance, or anything else, but in a perfect king that was given to us. It is found in Jesus Christ, so wherever we are in life, no matter what we are going through, we can find peace and joy and a perfect world in Christ. (Is 11:1-9)
