The story of Jonah is how God's call first exposes him of his sin and then leads him to seek the grace he has assumed and forgotten. In order for this journey to take place, Jonah and we must counter and face God's true and high call. (Jon 1:1-2)

In consequence, we act like orphans more than we'd like to. This passage teaches us how deep and affectionate and continuously giving our God is in His role as redeemer, heavenly Father, and truth teller for our hearts. (Ga 4:4-7)
